WordPress, the world’s biggest Content Management System (CMS) platform used by 75 million websites and pages, have strengthened WordPress communities all over the world through WordCamps, which are locally-organized conferences dedicated to everything about WordPress.

A usual WordCamp may feature topics on content creation and marketing, plugin and theme development, or just the latest tips or advanced techniques on using and developing on WordPress. Generally, however, topics are determined based on the needs and interests of the local community.

So this year, we are going big and hosting a two-day WordCamp. The attendees for WordCamp Iloilo are mostly from the technology sector and some are students who are aiming to enter the same sector. WordCamp Iloilo 2019 is the first to host a Contributor Day and a Workshop for Kids in the Philippines.

The main conference is a 2-day event: the first day will be dedicated to 2 workshops for beginners and advanced attendees covering topics ranging from Web Design, Web Development, Security, SEO and Blogging. The second day is a full day plenary session with talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects (various topics about WordPress, freelancing, general tech topics, marketing, business, blogging), to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. The 2-day conference will be held at the Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City, August 24-25, 2019 from 8AM – 5:00PM.

This is a very big step for us, we started with a handful of people and are now steadily growing into an active community. And you could help us flourish!
