80% Of Products Have No Recurring Commissions

This might be a shock to some newer affiliates, but it’s the truth: 80% of products on the marketplace don’t have recurring commissions. If Item A is a one-payment product and Item B is a recurring payment product — both cost the same to promote — with all other significant factors being equal — why would you promote Product A? Everyone successful in online and offline product selling knows that the real money is in the back-end. For each affiliate an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 is added to the result, depending on when his/her last transaction occurred. More recent transactions are given a higher value.”

This means that 95% of products have paid between 0 and 10 affiliates in the last 3 months. The odds are very much against you if you blindly promote products.

Let’s say you send traffic to a vendor’s product and they choose not to buy immediately. They bookmark the landing page URI, do their research and due diligence on the product, and return 2 weeks to 4 weeks later, from their bookmark. The problem for you, as an affiliate, is that the Clickbank cookies linking you to the visitor are inadvertently lost by that point, meaning the sale is forever lost to you as an affiliate and the vendor gets 100% of the sale.
